It seems that the Groups Prescription Policy is somewhat stringent. That's good, in that NHS funds are not being wasted. But it appears to the patient as being parsimonius

We registered at Churchill Medical Centre some years ago and have always found the practice very helpful and accommodating. We are a family of four 2 adults and 2 now almost grown up children. The receptionists are always helpful on the phone and when we visit. The nurses and doctors are very understanding and have treated us all very well. I have every confidence in Churchill Medical Centre and am very grateful to all the staff for looking after us.

Today I had a health check with one of the nursing team Karan Arnold. Karan explained everything very clearly, and put me at ease throuoght the whole assesment. Karan was very positive, helpful and knowledgeable - well done Karan! I have been going to Churchill Medical Centre for several years and the recepionists seem very knowledageble and professional and GP's fairly easy to get an appointment with (as long as you don't mind which GP you see).

I can always get an appointment with a female doctor if I wish. It can be difficult to get through on the phone so I usually call in person. Today I saw Dr Walker. She is always kind and seems to remember me (maybe she takes the time to scan the notes before calling the next patient). However she does it, it makes all the difference. I feel cared for and understood. I wanted to pass this on.

Generally an excellent service. We have had very good experiences with all of the GPs and nurses/midwives etc that we have seen. The reception staff are very helpful but occasionally seem to lack knowledge about what's going on (e.g. we have had lost prescriptions/incorrect information about booking/prescription ordering processes etc). We have almost always managed to get a same-day appointment for urgent matters (at least by telephone), particularly for our infant son. That said, there's sometimes a longish wait time for a non-urgent appointment. Overall, very happy with the surgery.
